Wild Tokyo Casino uses cookies. This document explains which ones, why, and how to turn them off. If you skim only one section, make it the one on essential cookies, because switching those off breaks the site.
What a cookie actually is
A cookie is a small text file placed on your device by the site you visit. It stores an identifier that lets the site recognise your browser on the next visit. Similar technologies, including local storage, pixel tags, and device fingerprinting, are covered by this policy in the same way.
Essential cookies
These keep the site working. They handle your login session, remember which currency your account is in, hold your shopping-cart-equivalent state during a deposit flow, and keep security tokens active. Turn them off and you cannot log in. There is no consent choice for essential cookies because the site is unusable without them.
Analytics cookies
We use analytics to understand which pages get traffic, which games get played, and where users drop off during registration or deposit. The data is aggregated. We are not watching your individual sessions for marketing purposes, and analytics data is separated from your personal account records where technically possible. Google Analytics is the main provider used, and their own retention and processing rules apply on top of ours.
Marketing and personalisation cookies
These tell us which promotions to show you inside the site and which retargeting adverts to serve you outside the site. If you have opted out of marketing communications in your account, marketing cookies still run for on-site personalisation but not for external retargeting. Turn them off entirely in the cookie banner or your browser settings.
Fraud and security cookies
Session integrity checks, device fingerprinting, and IP consistency tracking all rely on cookies or cookie-like technology. Their job is to catch stolen accounts, bot networks, and bonus abuse. You cannot switch these off through the banner because doing so would break our AML and fraud obligations under Curaçao licensing.
Third-party cookies
Payment processors, KYC providers, live chat, and game studios drop their own cookies when their widgets or iframes load inside our pages. We do not control those cookies directly. Each provider publishes its own policy, and where a game studio sets cookies on our domain we require them to justify the purpose under our vendor agreements.
How to control cookies
The cookie banner on your first visit gives you a choice between accepting all, rejecting non-essential, or opening detailed preferences. You can change your mind later through the cookie settings link in the site footer.
Browser controls give you the deeper option. Every mainstream browser lets you block third-party cookies, clear stored cookies, or block cookies from specific domains. Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge each publish their own instructions in their help documentation.
Blocking analytics cookies does not affect your ability to play. Blocking essential or security cookies breaks the site, and we do not troubleshoot access problems for accounts that have blocked required cookies.
Retention
Session cookies expire when you close the browser. Persistent cookies used for preferences and analytics last between thirty days and thirteen months depending on the type. Security-related cookies used for fraud detection retain their identifiers as long as required by AML law, which in practice means up to five years.
Australian context
The Privacy Act 1988 does not have a dedicated cookie regime like the EU ePrivacy framework. Cookies fall under general APP obligations for personal information handling. Wild Tokyo applies a European-style consent banner because our platform serves multiple jurisdictions, and running a stricter consent model is easier than running twenty different ones.
Changes to this policy
We update this document when we add or remove cookies, when providers change their behaviour, or when law changes. The version on the site is always the current one.
